About Angela
Angela moved with the family from Pittsburgh, PA to Tega Cay, SC when she was 8 years old, so she has had the chance to really see the area grow and change since then. She also likes telling parents who are new to the area that she has first hand knowledge of growing up in the Fort Mill School System. After attending Clemson University, she lived in both Dalton, GA where she worked as a Process Engineer, and then in Santa Monica, CA where she worked as a Contract Flooring Salesperson. After having gained some perspective from living in other areas, she was glad to move back to Fort Mill, SC to work with Elaine, and to take advantage of living in a place with a little smaller town feel, but close enough to now-bustling Charlotte, NC to enjoy everything it has to offer.
As Elaine’s daughter, Angela had her hand in real estate well before she had her license. When she was younger, responsibilities included folding newsletters for the team and helping with open houses. Later, she became a part-time receptionist for First Properties of the Carolinas. When she moved back to Fort Mill and stepped into the role of full-time Realtor in 2005, Angela had already been around the real estate industry for quite some time, and was familiar with all of the great neighborhoods in the area. A lot of them she remembers from where all her friends grew up in each of the older neighborhoods in Tega Cay and Fort Mill.
Lately, Angela has begun working to incorporate her interests in environmentalism and the Green movement into her real estate career. She is part of the local Sierra Club chapter and reads a lot of environmental blogs, working towards continually gaining knowledge in how our homes can serve our needs with less impact on the environment and on our utility bills. Soon, she also plans to complete her National Association of Realtor's Green Designation.
Special Skills/Interests
Angela loves spending her free time in the outdoors and can tell you all about the great spots around the Charlotte area to go, especially if it involves Whitewater Kayaking or Mountain Biking. Be careful, or she might talk your ear off about her part-time raft guiding adventures at the US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte. She’s always trying to get newcomers to go rafting with her, or at least get up there and enjoy the USNWC's restaurant and walking trails.
When she’s spending time with her slightly less adventurous friends, she enjoys planning different activities for them at restaurants, music venues, or any other exciting places around Charlotte. Her other free time is spent volunteering for the York County Humane Society in Fort Mill.
